Monday Night - A Josiah Update

This will be a brief-er folks.

Josiah continues to be seizure-free, 47 hours and counting. Thanks for your prayers. He had only one moment today when it seems like he had a hard time breathing (airway got tight, maybe similar to how asthmatics have their airway seize up) so all in all it was a good day.

It's hard watching Josiah cope to his meds. We know that it's for the best and that the pros outweigh the cons, but much like his 'medaz' (that sedative that took months to wean him off) left him irritable and dis-orientated, his seizure meds are leaving Josiah not himself. It really pains Marie that Josiah had a hard time focusing and controlling his eye movement, and we pray that Josiah will adapt to these meds soon. I guess we really cling and enjoy his ability to respond to us and interact, and it's hard when that's taken away from us.

So that's that. Thanks to my great uncle and aunt John & Ruth H. for dropping by to visiting Marie and Josiah today. Thanks for the love, the time, and the prayers.

Thank You Lord for 47 hours of no seizures. We ask You for 47 plus more! Thank You for the joyful moments that Andrew and Marie get when they interact with their son. Give them peace and strentgh during the harder moments when he is "not there". Let Josiah settle in to and respond to his meds soon and continue to bring him healing. We thank You Lord.

Love Sue
