Saturday Evening - A Josiah Update
Well, there's really only one big thing to pass on: Josiah is no longer on a ventilator! Yeah! He's taking his own breathes through his 'trache' and the nurses have rested an oxygen mask just over the trache so that he gets the O2 he needs. That's a biggie, and we're really excited for him!
Not on a ventilator makes it easier for Josiah to clear his lungs of his secretions (air isn't pushing the goobers down into his lungs) so today we saw him cough up his first goober - it was just flapping on the outside of the trache!!! So cool!
I haven't acknowledged our visitors in a while, so I'm going to do the best I can: Steve, Kari & Ruthie D., Leanne K., Grandpa & Marie H., a friend of Lisa's that we missed (so sorry - don't know how that happened!), Rob D., and Mike P. (if there is anyone missed on the list - my bad).
Seek God's Love.
