Hello Hello
Josiah was moved out of isolation a few days ago because his bacterial and virus results came back negative. He still has some really thick secretions and he did have a major spell early this morning, but all in all he's doing alright. The doctor has noticed he may have a 'water bug' in his system, a bug that is common to patients who are vented for a while (Josiah has been spending a lot of time on his CPAP in the last 5 weeks) and they will continue to monitor him, but at this point they say this is nothing to worry about.
It's so much fun watching Josiah grow up! He gives the best expressions when you play with him and his rattle, and he really enjoys swishing his nystatin medicine around his mouth (cherry flavour!) I hope to put up a few new pics this week, but no we haven't snapped one of his big smiles - we're laughing and enjoying the moment too much to remember to grab our camera!
Just a heads up to those who may try to reach us: my cell phone hasn't been working, so don't bother leaving any voice messages there.
Thanks to Gary, Karolyn, Rachel, Julia, Emily & Josiah T. for visiting this morning and Rob & Adrianna D. for also dropping by.
In God's Grace.
- Andrew, Marie & Josiah

Hey guys:
Wow, you both constantly keep amazing me at how much you have gone through and are still going through. I'm glad that through it all you can have moments of joy with Josiah (of coarse he loves his mommys laugh). I will be praying as always but specifically for the issues he is having with his back right now.
Love Sue
Hi! I just wanted to say a little greeting, and let you know I have been praying for your family. I too am a nurse at Children's on the 3rd floor, but Andrew, I think we went to high school together. I had already seen your blog, but I didn't put the connection together until Steven and Kari told me. Thank you for sharing your joys and trials. Praying specifically for protection and strength for your family this day.
Blessings,
Kirsten
