Before I lay my head down, here's the latest on our man Josiah.
The MRI results came back pretty positive. The doctors found no scary or super-concerning situations that need to be dealt with. There is no abnormal growth (tumor-like thing) in Josiah's brain which is so relieving (thanks God). The doctors did note two things that they would like to keep their eyes on as Josiah develops. The first is that his cerebrum is a little smaller than normal and his ventricles are a little wider than normal (sheesh, this guy just keeps breaking the molds here!), which are a part of the cerebrum I believe but hey I'm no doctor. The smallness of Josiah's cerebrum may affect his motor skills and balance as he grows up or may not affect him at all. It's all in God's hands ... which is the best place to be! You can definitely be praying for our Josiah in this regard.
With the MRI now behind us, we're certainly very very grateful and happy parents. At one point the doctors were looking to wait until Monday to do his trachea scope (because of his freaky near-death experience on Sunday) but now they feel comfortable doing it on Wednesday as planned. Hopefully Josiah will still have enough time to recoup and allow the swelling of his trachea to go down since they had to extubate/intubate him as a part of that whole ordeal.
A big answer to prayer has been that his secretion levels have really dropped! You can pray for our little guy in the mean time because his secretions have been a little reddish since Sunday, most likely because he had some scratching in his throat with tubes being pulled out and put in. Josiah was also d-sating a little tonight and thus a little cranky, but Marie was able to hold him some more today which is oh so good.
And before I sign off, I want to mention that I have added a few new pictures to Josiah's album (the Flickr account in the upper right-hand column). These pictures were recently posted within this week's blogs.
Every lament is a love song. That line has been playing over and over in my head today. Hint: it's not Bono.
Thanks for your continued love. It just keeps coming and coming and coming ... you are the Church, living and breathing and serving. May God bless you all richly in this life and in the one to come for all your acts of generosity, hospitality, compassion and prayer!
Glowing with God's Love.

Aw you know what Andrew? The reason I did not see the link to Josiah's pics was because I was accessing your blog posts via my RSS Feeds it it goes directly to the most recent post as of which the sidebar does not show up "complete"...I have to actually click on your header to see the "complete" sidebar and the only thing that makes it "complete" is in fact that link...Kind of ironic hey??? Thinking Josiah completes your family! haha~ I'm glad to see you glowing*;)
Marie, Andrew and Josiah -
This is Danielle, from Washington. I posted a comment awhile back. I was wondering if you minded if I linked your blog to mine - it would also be linked to our church (The Bridge). I have a good group that reads it and think this would be a good way to gather some more prayer covering. Yokoso is linked to my pastor's wife's site (justbeingme). I wanted to check before I linked.
Anyway - Hang in there - I am praying for you as the Spirit lays you on my heart. He is a good, good God. My pastor says that something that has sustained him in times of trial are these three truths -
1 - God is good
2 - God loves me
3 - all else begins here.
Blessings and prayers -
Danielle
You're right. It's not Bono, but it is Jon Foreman.
Danielle - Go for it! And thanks!
Dr A - Yup. Maybe I'll start turning to more obscure lyrics ;)
Cheers.
