Hello!
So I'm heading out to Abbotsford in a couple hours (I have a youthworkers conference to go to @ CBC - lots of fun and I have been looking forward to it, but I'm just not in the mindspace for it, you know?). Anyways, Josiah is doing well as usual. A Briercrest buddy (Jen G.) dropped by to say hello today and that was lots of fun! Marie was able to talk to a doctor during rounds this morning and we found out that Josiah will not be taken off the respirator next week because Spring Break has made things a little screwy around here (doctors are on holidays, etc). So, Josiah will be left on his respiratory for at least another full week. We still don't have a date for his trip into the OR, but we're hoping to get one soon. The doctors are fairly pessimistic that Josiah will be able to breathe on his own, just based on the fact he couldn't do it the last time he was taken off the respirator. But hey, a doc's opinion and God's plan can be different so keep on praying folks! If Josiah does end up having a trache, he will be on it for at least a year before the doctors try to see if he can breathe without it.
That's it from here (at least, as best as I can recall). I'll try to post something either tonight or tomorrow night if I'm able to chat with Marie on the phone.
Loving God's Love.

I'm always encouraged to read your *optimistic* writings of your son Andrew. I can hear the love and joy for him in your voice. It reminds me of how God sees us in our brokeness...and to hold your son till he sweats in your arms, that's truly authentically awesome, love to hear it, to hear all of it!!!
