Monday Afternoon - A Josiah Update

Hi Everyone

Marie and I did go out to Enderby for Sunday, though we were VERY close to turning back at Kamloops because Josiah was having a rough start to the day. The nurse he had knew him which was nice, but Josiah continued to show weird things with his heart and have seizures and spells throughout the day. It was very stressful heading out, but we had two visitors who drove out to be with Josiah while we were gone: thanks SO MUCH Joanne L. and Grandma Marie for doing that - WOW. It lightened our hearts hearing that you were there.

Marie and I had a good time saying hi to many friends at Will & Doris' Gardom Lake Bible Camp farewell. I won't bore you with details, but we ended up staying really late so the drive home was interesting (it included a 1+ hour nap at the toll booth). It's always weird when you arrive at your destination while driving all night and you see the sun rising behind you ...

Josiah had a couple of his malaysia spells this morning (even while in one-on-one care with a primary nurse), so they decided to sedate him to give him a break. He was out cold when Marie and I made it to the hospital later in the morning.

We're having a hard time getting the right seizure med dosage into Josiah because some nurses forgetfully give him his medicine with food (which prevents his body from absorbing the medicine), so please pray that Josiah will receive his food and meds according to schedule (and wow, I tell you - a schedule is sometimes really hard to keep in a hospital!).

We're looking forward to having Marie's bro Wesley visiting for a few days this week, and then we're seeing a football game with my bro & sis (Mike & Shawna) on Saturday.

That's it for now. Thanks guys.
In God's Love.
- Andrew, Marie & Josiah
