(Josiah @ 9:20 AM Wednesday, April 25th)... groggy, yet awake and hungry! ... our beautiful boy with a nasty haircut :)
I thought many of you would appreciate fresh pictures of our Josiah. These are taken just minutes after he returned to the NICU. Right now he's resting again, and I'm going to go back in a stay with him for a while. And I'm exhausted, so exhausted. Emotions are wearying, crying is both refreshing and taxing, and despite all that has happened today I think I'm going to sleep pretty solid this evening.
Further prayer request (beyond his surgery and the healing of his epinglottis): pray that God will set aside community nurses in Abbotsford who will be able to provide Josiah with the weekly care that he'll need. This could be the one thing that prevents us from leaving the hospital as soon as we'd like to!

We are with you daily in prayers for Caleb's buddy while we are up here in Falkland. So sorry to hear about the extubation not working this time but what good news about the epiglottis. What a great surprize to hear it is not bifid-hopefully this eventually have implications (good ones ) with Josiah's eating and breathing in the future. You are in our hearts-

I hope I remember to pray this week a lot...to be honest, on the most important night of all...Jeff and I forgot to pray before we slept...we have started doing this and I was very upset when I remembered at 930...an hour and 15minutes or so after Josiah BIG DAY...aw!...we are only human though right?
But so I don't forget I'll pray right now...Oh Lord, I lift Josiah up to you...I pray Lord that you would encase your son, preserve him and heal his floppy throat piece...I pray Lord that when you will it, it will happen...Josiah WILL breathe on his own!!! He has too. So many people have been praying...Oh Lord you hear our cries and you see our tears...for every tear you've seen drop from our eyes...from Andrew, Marie's and Josiah's eyes and whoever else's eyes that have been praying for this healing I pray for every one of them that that would be a knock on your heart Lord...a tap on your door...to let Josiah's air in...on it's own!!! Thank-you Lord for your love and thank-you for listening...if Lord you decide not to answer this prayer I will understand...either way your way IS the best!!! So do what you will ...AMEN~
Thanks for sharing your heart with us; we will keep on praying for your needs. Just to encourage you that God promises to make all things beautiful in His time; He doesn't have deadlines. Isn't that great? So glad to hear Josiah's trachea is in good shape. That's awesome news! I'll be praying that the operation next week goes well. God is in control and can do His thing anytime!

We serve such an awesome God and it's so very cool that we can all be on the "same page" so to say when we lift this very precious family up to Him!
