This one will be quick because Marie and I need to go eat lunch.
Josiah came back from OR about an hour ago. The bronch scope revealed no reason Josiah can't breathe on his own. His trachea is still swollen, but not to the point that prevents him to breathe comfortably so the doctors - as well as his parents - are quite discouraged and confused. Josiah is back on his respirator. We were able to talk with the ENT doctors briefly after Josiah came back, but we won't be able to have a sit down meeting to discuss our future options until early next week. So Josiah will remain on the respirator until the next step is decided upon.
Josiah is quite restful right now - the sedatives will do that! - but you can please please pray for him. We just need Josiah to grow and develop, especially his airways so that he can breathe on his own without discomfort or distress. Please pray for us as parents as this is obviously discouraging, but we believe 100% that God is in control and that his timing and his plans are good.
Thanks for all your continued support. We couldn't have made it this far without you guys behind us and around us. Thanks to Rob & Leanne D., Sayuri H., Ryan C., and Bernie & Rosa W. for visiting us this week. Thanks to Marie's folks for dropping in lots.
Remaining in God.
- Andrew, Marie & Josiah
