Hello!
Sorry I have taken so long today to post. Marie, Josiah & I have been very blessed by having so many visitors stop in to see us! It's so much fun to share our joy and Josiah with our friends and family, and to chat and catch up with people's lives. So thanks to Uncle Ron & Aunt Betty-Lou & Meagan H., Uncle Lorne & Aunt Lydia & Kelly H., James & Sandi G., Rob D., and Marie's folks for coming by this afternoon to see us!
Josiah continues to do well and there isn't much to say beyond what I posted yesterday. Marie will hopefully by able to cuddle with him soon and I'll be heading in to Abbotsford tonight to go to church in the morning. For those who want to know, his weight is now 2975 grams (his birth weight was 2605 grams I believe). I don't know what the pound/ounces conversion is - sorry! Josiah was much heavier earlier in the week, but a lot of that was water rentention due to his IV on Wednesday and the steriods he was given that day (which made him look a little puffy!)
A big shout out of 'Congrats!' and 'Good Luck!' go out to friends of ours who also had babies this week. My cousins Rick & Rachel had a boy (Jayden) and our friends Preston & Tara also had a boy (Jacob), and both boys are doing well. Has anyone else noticed that "J" names are popular this year?
Marie and I have moved rooms in Easter Seals (our previous place was set aside for those in wheelchairs) and we'll probably be staying there a few more weeks, unless bringing in an RV is a better option (we'll be looking into that on Monday).
Oh, and I had a good birthday yesterday. Marie quickly scooted out to Oakridge Mall to find me a gift and then I went to BP's with Marie's folks. I certainly wasn't planning to spend my 26th b-day in a hospital, but all-in-all it has turned out to be a memorable and great day!
And I know I haven't posted any new pics for a while. I'll try to remember to snap a shot of Josiah tonight when he is with mommy.
Blessing everyone.
- Andrew, Marie, & Josiah
