Greetings Everyone
Josiah's first birthday has come and gone - thanks for all the birthday wishes, cards, and gifts! Your love continues to leave us speechless ...
Too many thoughts, old memories and emotions come to us around this time. Life flies at a tizzy pace and sometimes it's hard to process and reflect on the highs and lows of our journey to this point. 2007 changed us - as it did a lot of people - and 2008 will do the same. We are broken, yet full, fragile and strong. We live zestfully in the now bearing daily the emotion and experience of the past while wistfully and expectantly looking into an unknown future.
We're grateful that Josiah has made it to his first birthday, and made it flair and a bang. He has NEVER been this stable for this long - God is good. Of course, when he is doing well we inevitably wait for something wrong to happen since it seems to be the cycle of his life ... But we wait for home, with hope, patience, and trust.
We were able to surprise Marie with an extended birthday party: 25 people from our church meet on hospital property to wish Josiah a happy birthday, and best of all Josiah was able to join us outside for TWO WHOLE HOURS. Wow.
Love. Always trusts ... always hopes ... always perseveres ...
Many blessings.
-Andrew, Marie & Josiah

Yay!! Amen!! Praise God.
We are still praying!
You wrote so articulately what things are like for you guys. It was such a great day on Saturday-one to put in the Good Memory file and one you can draw on in the tougher times. Thanks for including Caleb and I in the festivities. It was such a spirit lifter for us too!
I received the children's hospital pamphlet in my mailbox this week and Josiah's picture is on our fridge. We are praying continuously for all of you.
Thanks for sharing Andrew. I can feel your emotion just in your words. Such ups and downs, highs and lows. You and Marie are an amazing couple!! I pray God's continued blessings on you all and your precious son. May there be many miracles of healing in the coming year.
Love Sue
Wow I have tears in my eyes as I read that Josiah got to join you all outside for two hours. Thank you Jesus, and please continue with the miracles!
