Thursday Afternoon - A Josiah Update

This will be brief. As far as we can tell, Josiah is relaxed and doing well on the respirator. The doctors did a quick test on his secretions (saliva etc) and they aren't sure if he's bacterial levels are high normal or on the iffy side, so they are going to give Josiah anti-biotics for 5 days through IV just to make sure.

Josiah will be kept on the respirator for a week, during which time they will do an MRI on his brain. The MRI is something that they would have done anyways in the future just to double-check his neurological state, but they have decided to do it now while he is on the respirator, than do it at a later time when he is better and have to re-tubed him.

The doctors aren't concerned with Josiah being on the respirator for this amount of time. We'll just to take this a day at a time. Thanks for all your prayers.

In God's Grace & Peace.
- Andrew, Marie & Josiah
